R&B singer Abel Tesfaye, with the help of
Drake's tweets and
Pitchfork's review, has started a career after releasing his first EP only nine days ago. While the lyrics and voice of Tesfaye sound like typical R&B, the music that envelops his voice breaks the genre's boundaries. His music is instantly accessible, but more lasting and cohesive as a larger album.
Even better, he's offering up the album
House Of Balloons, for FREE, right here. Don't get turned off by the creepy album cover. Check out some songs below.
High for This, slow at first, but give it a minute and it's a great song.
The Morning, my favorite so far.
