[I can feel those] Empty Diamond Graces

So here's another music video by Casey Ford Alexander, the Princeton-educated Politics major with a flair for smoothly abrupt (oxymoron?) cinematography and visual/audio pathos.

It's a music video to to the song "Empty Diamond Graces" by Mandala, which I had not previously heard before I saw the video. The song is thought-provoking and haunting, with a sort of ethnic but modern feel.

As far as the video, I would say the composition random-ass and shaky shots is not nearly as fluid as in Alexander's previous videos. However, as always, the Los Angeles-based director seems to capture the raw emotion of the lyrics and music and translate them into a visual montage that draws the audience in until they feel almost complete empathy. Once again, well done CFA.

The New St. Vincent Album...

...get it. It's instantly catchy, but gets better and better the more you listen. Below is the video for Cruel, my favorite from the album.
